Human Resource Officer – Trainee
An exciting opportunity is now available to be hosted by one of our clients leading operations in the Muswellbrook area. This is a rare opportunity as a contractor position based as a full-time equivalent working on site and providing flexibility to complete the required qualification Certificate IV in Human Resource Management.

We are seeking a positive and motivated Trainee that is willing to complete the Certificate IV in Human Resource Management and to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to develop fundamental HR functions, administration skills and experience across all key departments of the business.
Working alongside friendly co-workers, the preferred candidate will present well, have the ability to prioritise different tasks throughout the day, ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner, take initiative and remain calm under pressure.
Administration experience is necessary for this position along with a genuine interest in Human Resources. Your demonstrated willingness and commitment to learn is valuable along with training and development that will be provided.
The suitable candidate will be available to work Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- End to End Recruitment for EA roles – posting jobs, booking interviews, completing reference checks, booking medicals, interviewing
- Managing & maintaining records – personnel files, HR trackers, contractor movements etc.
- Providing customer service to operational employees – identifying their needs and addressing or referring promptly to determine course of action and provide solutions
- Creating & updating HR Documents – position descriptions, basic guidelines etc.
- Assisting with education assistance, probation reviews and positive recognition
- Data entry, document management, correspondence
- Administrative support & ad-hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate will demonstrate/hold:
- Reliable transport and licence
- A willingness to undertake Certificate IV in Human Resource Management via online study
- A positive attitude and client focused
- Solid communication skills in a personable and professional manner
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy, variable workload
- Initiative
